Little
Dancers
The light of the sun was dimmed by the passing clouds,
as I sit on my front porch watching the trees gently sway in the summer wind.
The leaves turn and twist as if they were dancing with one another, as the wind
picks up a tiny Chickadee joins in on
the dance as he hops from branch to branch singing his songs to the little
dancers. I become lost in the melody of nature and I forget about everything
around me except for the little dancers and their singing companion.
The wind has stopped, now the leaves lay lifeless as
if they have never moved, and the Chickadee flies away to find another to sing
his song to. Everything returns to what it was before the wind blew life into
the lifeless trees and sent all the leaves dancing. One day the wind will blow
again and the Chickadee will sing his song to the little dancers. I will be
here to see the life brought back into the trees and I will join in on the
dance of life joyfully with the little dancers and the singing Chickadee.
